In order to accomplish this vision, is to start by living a more sustainable lifestyle and expanding into selling garden crops, free range eggs and meat. A big order, but I'm forming a plan.
One big thing in my favor is I already live on a farm with 50 acres available for farming and about 60 acres available for grazing.
I grew up on a very large farm/ranch so I have knowledge there to draw from and I was lucky to have a certified organic neighbor for awhile.
My first step in realizing this vision is getting my soil in shape. Unfortunately my soil is sandy, fine and lacking horribly in organic material.
My first step is to get some manure, luckily my neighbor has a huge pile that's been doing it's thing for several years and is just right for spreading.
In the meantime I also found the cutest shirt to wear while spreading the poo.
